The Lehenga Chronicles

As Indians, we are big on our idea of celebrations when it is the festive season or special events of life. It is a grand affair because we believe that happiness multiplies when shared with your loved ones, and what's a celebration if not a glorious one. Being the quirky fashion enthusiast that I am, I usually do not like repeating outfits unless ofcourse I can recreate a new look with it. I had picked up this Golden Lehenga from one of the local stores during one of my shopping sprees to prepare for a family wedding. I can never follow the trends in fashion, because hey how will you stand out otherwise. I remember when I picked up this lehenga a couple of years back, traditional gowns had suddenly found all this attention and the concept of lehengas and cholis or sarees for the wedding season looked faded. Revisting places to get better photos - Adalaj Stepwell, Ahmedabad

Whenever I am planning my travel itineraries or destinations, I make sure I am not visiting a place that I have already seen and explored. However this time on my visit to Ahmedabad, I ended up going to the same locations as the other members in my family had not seen them. This was the second time I was at Adalaj Ni Vav, one of the famous stepwells in the city of Ahmedabad. Stepwells were resting places for travelers in the 14th and 15th century and every ruler would build stepwell in his ruling kingdom for the welfare of his people and other visitors.

Just as Roses come with thorns, so will every beautiful experience you seek comes with it’s arsenal of troubles, so be prepared to fight for what you want. The situation of the pandemic has created a drastic change in our daily lifestyle. While most of us are compensating by working from home, some of us are investing time and thought to learn something new or teach something new. With a fair bit of time in hand due to the pandemic, I decided to go back to my writing and give it another start. The quote above kinda struck my thought on how a journey towards a goal always has its own flavor, but we relish every step because we know at the bottom of our heart that how much happiness we shall feel when we achieve the goal. I visited the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden while I was on my trip to Chandigarh with my family. With the fantastic pictures I shot of the roses, I brainstormed a lot as to what to write along with the pictures because I just didn't want to write historic facts. ...
