When Luck Arrives In Little Gestures

Life has offered me a 360 turn in 2024, and while I am still carving my way out of it, I wonder what all did it take of me to survive. The funny thing about trauma is it makes you lose chunks of memories because your body is trying its best to survive. My time at the corporate world came to an end, a choice I made out of my gut because days were no more fulfilling there. With all my hope and luck, I ringed up my dance teacher in hopes to find myself back, because inside us is a child that needs what it needs. Turn out the opportunity was already waiting for me there. That's the thing about great teachers, they accept you back with open arms, no matter whether you come back wounded or at your very best. While I found my groove back at the dance class, she trusted me enough to allow me to handle a few classes for the juniors in her absence. 

My favourite moment of the week is going an teaching them now, because that is soul satisfying. While those cute little munchkins fill me up with so much joy and excitement, I forgot the perks that came by with being a teacher. It was the first class after the new year, and one of the students brought this handmade card for me to wish me new year, and I recalled my childhood making such for my teachers and now I am on the receiving end. 

 

With a new journey and an uncertain future, the power of luck was all I needed to feel. I am so grateful that I am able to leave my students with an impact as I am onto a journey being a dance teacher myself, a dream that has stood waiting patiently for me to come back. I am grateful that I am finally able to pursue this, for my soul knows, how much I have craved for this. Thanking the universe for little notes of love encompassed in little gestures that will now stay with me forever.
